What is an Indicator Lamp?
An indicator lamp (direction indicator or turn signal) is an amber lamp mounted on a trailer that flashes in synchronisation with the tow vehicle's turn signals. It communicates the driver's intended direction to other road users and is a mandatory safety requirement under Australian Design Rules.
